Recover a capture

Start with the state visible in CERES. Do not begin a new take until the cause of a CAUTION or STOP state is clear.

The headset cannot join

Check that the invitation is current and opened in the original browser tab. If it expired, or the wrong headset joined, ask the capture director to create a new invitation. Do not open a second capture tab for the same session.

The camera or recorder is not ready

Allow the camera and microphone permissions, select the outward camera and return to the setup screen. In paired capture, wait for CAM, XR, REC and LINK to show ready before beginning the task. In Solo, enable the camera before opening XR.

A hand outline is missing or unstable

Bring the hand into the space in front of the headset, separate the hands, uncover the fingers and hold still briefly. Use KEYPOINTS if the problem is not clear. If tracking was absent during the important movement, pause safely and use RETRY during reset.

XR closed unexpectedly

CERES pauses rather than discards the capture. Return to the run editor, confirm the incomplete run and select Resume. Reset only when you deliberately want to discard the unfinished run.

Hugging Face is still working

Repository checks and old-upload reconciliation happen in the background so they do not block the run editor. Look for the recovered upload banner above setup. It shows current progress and has an abort action. A finalised upload may remain on writing, reading, hashing, uploading or committing while the service completes the work.

The video or viewer looks out of step

Use the frame readout and timeline to confirm the selected frame. The viewer aligns pose data to the source frame rather than playback wall time. If a dataset is still converting, wait for the export to complete before diagnosing the viewer.

Get a clean retry

Pause for safety first. Restore the scene, camera and tracking. Resume, then choose RETRY during the reset interval. A retry replaces the failed attempt instead of retaining it as a completed repetition.
